Girls’ Night In Themes

You don’t have to spend a wild night out on the town to have a good time with your girlfriends. In fact, a Girls’ Night In might be just what you need to kick back, relax, and have some fun. All you need are some great ideas, and I’m here to deliver 15 of the BEST Girls’ Night In Activities.

Spa Night

Who doesn’t love a good spa night?! Paint your nails, give each other pedicures, or just relax with some good aromas. I’m not even a girly girl, but I love a good facial or sitting in a massage chair (especially if you’re lucky enough to have a friend who owns one)!

Coloring Party

If you want time to just chill and talk, coloring in adult coloring books with some light music in the background is a great way to catch up with friends. Need some high-quality colored pencils? These are the highest rated for the best price on Amazon!

Swap Party

Get your friends together for a swap or an exchange! Everyone has things in their house that they don’t use, and chances are, someone else would love to swap with you.

The sky’s the limit when it comes to the types of things you can exchange.

Here are a few ideas (plus links to how-to’s):

  • accessories
  • clothes
  • Halloween costumes
  • toys
  • wine
  • busy bags

No matter what you exchange, it’s fun to spend an evening with friends and to take home something new.

Baking Party

Get your friends together, put some music on, and bake up a storm. You can either work on something all together or each work on your own creation. This works great at Christmas time when everyone is in the mood to make cookies and treats!

Video Scavenger Hunt

If you’ve never done a video scavenger hunt, you’re missing out on some fun! Divide your friends into two groups, send them out with a DSLR camera and a list of videoed tasks and possible points, then come back, watch the videos together, and award the team with the most points. A little bit silly and a whole lot of fun!

Craft Night

Take a look at Pinterest and find a craft to do together. Let one of your craft-y friends be in charge of leading the project and showing everyone what to do.

My Favorite Things Party

A “Favorite Things” party is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening with friends. Ask everyone to pick one of their “favorite things” — from beauty products to food — and to bring 5 of them. Then, take turns sharing about what you brought and shopping from others’ favorite things (You get to take home 5 NEW things!). I usually take Nutella or a Sonic gift card as my favorite thing (because, hello — they’re awesome!) and take home other stuff like a coloring book and spice mixes.

Movie Night

What’s more relaxing than sitting around in comfy clothes and watching a good chick flick? Whether you watch Runaway Bride or Moms’ Night Out, you and your friends will love vegging out together. Make a popcorn bar with different flavored seasonings, and you have the makings of a memorable girls ‘night.

Fondue Night

Sometimes you just need some good cheese in your life. And what’s better than gathering around a fondue pot with a group of girlfriends? Start your night with an easy cheese fondue and end it with chocolate. Sooo good and such a fun and unique way to spend an evening.

Bunco

Never played Bunco? It’s a great way to introduce friends who don’t know each other or to catch up with friends you don’t see very often. It’s fast-paced, fun, and mindless (which is good when you’re trying to chat, too). And bonus — the winner gets fun prizes! All you need are several sets of dice and the rules.

Pizza Party

Make personal pizzas with pita bread or go all out with homemade dough and lots of different kinds of toppings. Your friends will love being able to personalize their food (and it’s great for different diets and allergies).

Karaoke

For a fun night of music, rent a karaoke machine and sing 80s or 90s songs all night long! You’ll make some hilarious memories together.

Game Night

Are your friends competitive? Pull together a fun night of board games and see what they are made of. Check out the games in the post below!

Painting

Bring the popular canvas painting nights home! All you need is a bunch of canvases, easels, paints, and an instructional video.

Sip and Dip

Throw a Sip and Dip party with fun drinks and any kind of food you can dip. Think chips & Easy Homemade Salsa, pita bread & Homemade Hummus, or crackers with cream cheese and Cranberry Salsa or foods that need dipping like quesadillas, stromboli, or Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders.

Are you ready to plan your next Girls’ Night In? Whether you’re in the mood for something low-key like a movie night or something a little crazier like a video scavenger hunt, you and your friends are sure to make some fun memories together.

Which idea is your favorite? Tell me in the comments below!
