Charcuterie Board

Charcuterie boards are popular and with good reason. They’re beautiful, easy to put together (think: no cooking!), and guests love them. And what’s not to love? Cheese, cured meats, fruits, crackers, jams and spreads — everyone can make a plate that suits them. Need some inspiration? Check out these charcuterie board ideas and homemade charcuterie ingredients to envision your own board!

Hummus Bar

I recently went to a conference where Sabra hosted a hummus toast bar, and it was amazing! It was geared towards brunch, but you could do something similar for an evening get-together. Just set out pita chips, naan dippers, veggies, and all different kinds of toppings like feta cheese, olives, caramelized onions, avocado, and pine nuts and let everyone build their own. Use this hummus recipe as your base!

Fondue

Having a Girls’ Night In in the winter? Fondue is the perfect cool weather food for a night spent with friends. And the fun thing about fondue is that it’s not just food, it’s an experience. Start with an easy cheese fondue and move on to a salad (it’s the French way) and then chocolate fondue.

Pizza

Pizza is always a good idea. You ate it during those sleepovers as a teenager, but as an adult, why not take it up a notch and make gourmet pizzas at home? Whether you use homemade crust or pita bread, you can set out all kinds of toppings and let your friends make their own. Check out this post to find out how to organize a pizza party!

Tapas

If you want a creative idea for your girls night, borrow from the Spanish tradition of tapas, or small plates meant for sharing. Serve several appetizers like Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders and along with some store-bought appetizers or go authentic with true Spanish tapas recipes. Whatever you choose, your girlfriends will enjoy trying — and sharing — lots of different kinds of foods.

Sip and Dip

A Sip and Dip party is exactly what it sounds like: you eat all kinds of dips and drink your favorite drinks. You could serve things like tortilla chips with salsa, guacamole, and queso, a favorite hot dip like Buffalo Chicken dip, or think outside the box and serve any kind of food that you typically dip like stromboli, quesadillas, or mozzarella sticks. Ask everyone to bring 1-2 dips, and you’ve got the food covered!

bruschettas for girls night in food idea

Bruschetta Bar

Set up a fun bruschetta bar by toasting sliced baguettes and serving a variety of sauces like pesto, chimichurri, or vinaigrette and and toppings like cheeses, fresh fruit, tomatoes, greens, and salami. The sky’s the limit on both sauces and toppings, so don’t be afraid to think outside the box and let your friends make whatever sounds good to them — that’s part of the fun!

Salads

Serving salads for your Girls’ Night In is both a fresh and healthy way to spend an evening together. You can set up a salad bar where everyone makes their own or you could serve all different kinds of salads: Caesar, pasta, macaroni, broccoli, fruit, tuna, or chicken — you get the picture. There’s no reason healthy has to be boring!

Grazing Table

Grazing tables are one of my favorite food trends and would make for a great fancy girls’ night. Basically, you cover a whole table with snacks — sorta like a mega charcuterie board but without rules. You can include dips and dippers, small bites, cheeses, meats, fruit, and nuts and fill in the empty spaces with greenery or flowers. It’s an impressive display so use it when you really want something special.

Taco Bar

You really can’t beat a taco bar for any get-together. Everyone loves them because hello — tacos! and you can add or leave off anything you want. And there’s so many ways you can make a taco bar special from dips to toppings. Here’s a full taco bar menu with a grocery list and timeline for the prep work!

Bite-sized Desserts

If you’re getting together a little later in the evening, after dinner, small desserts are a fun food idea for your Girls’ Night In. Everyone could bring something different — lemon squares, brownies, mini cheesecakes, mini pies, etc. With everything bite-sized, you can try several different desserts without feeling guilty. Who wouldn’t love that?!

If you’re looking for food ideas for your Girls’ Night In, one of these 11 is sure to be just what you’re looking for. And whether you’re eating tacos or charcuterie, you’ll enjoy eating good food with your girlfriends. Is there anything better than that?

We started a girls night out. Not quite the same thing but it works as well. We have picnics, make cupcakes, watch movies and have fun too. We do timed quizzes, sing karaoke, dance and play hard.
