Homemade Hummus

Creamy, lemony, and delicious, this hummus is super easy to make. 

Prep Time 5 minutes


  • 1 15 oz. can chickpeas
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Tahini
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • teaspoon cayenne (optional)
  • ¾ teaspoon salt


  1. Drain chickpeas, reserving liquid.

  2. Combine chickpeas and all remaining ingredients in a blender or food processor. Puree until smooth, adding chickpea liquid one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency.

  3. Refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving to allow flavors to blend.
