Couldn't-Be-Easier Homemade Salsa

  • 1 14-ounce can tomatoes, drained
  • 1/3 cup onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1/3 cup cilantro leaves
  • 1 inch piece jalapeno seeds and membranes intact
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (more or less to taste)
  • 1 Tablespoon lime juice (or lemon juice)


  1. Place all ingredients into a blender.

  2. Pulse until the salsa is the desired consistency.

  3. Chill for 30 minutes. (Or don't.)

Recipe Notes

Add as much or as little jalapeƱo as you'd like. I just cut off a 1-ince piece without messing with the seeds or membranes.
