  • 8 russet potatoes
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 6 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 onion, sliced thinly into rings (optional)
  • 3 Tablespoons butter, sliced into thin pats


  1. Preheat the grill.

  2. Cut each potato in two horizontally and slice very thinly.

  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  4. Spray two disposable foil pans with baking spray. Divide the potatoes and onions evenly between the two pans.

  5. Divide the mayonnaise mixture in two and put each portion into a pan of potatoes and onions. Mix together well.

  6. Divide the butter evenly and place the pats all over the potatoes and onions.

  7. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and cook over medium heat for 35-40 minutes, stirring well once, halfway through.
